World health organisation (WHO) has identified falls as the second leading cause of unintentional injuries worldwide. people 65 and older are at increased risk of falls. Luckily, there are many things we can do decrease our risk of falls.
Here are some actions you can take to improve your balance.
1.Active lifestyle such as walking everyday
2.Practice balance exercises. There are many classes offered in the community for improving balance. We offer a small group “ Balance and fall prevention class”. See appointments page for details.
3. De-clutter your home to reduce tripping hazard.
